Stallman at the Indian International Center

Today Richard Stallman and I were at the India Internation center. Vandhana Shiva and a couple other organizations and political parties organized a meeting to counter the Patents issue that India is faced with currently.

Stallman and I were there to shed light on the issue of software idea patents. We also talked about how if software idea patents would affect the growth of the entire country.

Some how we were more concerned about the patents that were going to hamper the supply of essential drugs to the poor countries at a low price. Some one told us if the patents come into force as many as 250,000 people could start losing their lives every month, due to this increase of cost.

We also managed to catch up with Rishab Aiyer Ghosh during lunch.
